- Viewers of watercolorist Debbie Cannatella's work are drawn to the richness of color, shapes, shadows, or the capture of a life moment. Of her work she says "I enjoy studying what surrounds me. I find both man-made creations and the natural, organic world absolutely alluring, ever beckoning me closer to inspect it with a new viewpoint. Yet I also feel a pull from deep within me toward experimental, non-objectal work. I may never understand where that desire comes from. My task is to merely follow." Debbie has studied with numerous national artists around the country and is a signature member of The Louisiana Watercolor Society, an exhibiting member of The Associated Women in the Arts, and a member of Hoover Watercolor Society, Southwest Watercolor Society, and the Southern Watercolor Society. She exhibits in solo exhibitions and invitationals, group shows, and juried international exhibitions. She teaches workshops around the nation and watercolor at Tyler Junior College.
