I hadn't worked much on this as I'd been busy with commissions and teaching workshops. But I finally buckled down and completed this so that it can be in a show I'm having on Thursday at Caffe Tazza (my favorite cafe) here in Tyler. I worked on the background and did a little more glazing and punching up color in the portrait, but wanted to stop while she was still fresh. Overworking it would kill the effect. It is much more dramatic in real life because it is a full size watercolor sheet (22"x30"). I call her Autumn Leaves, because that is what I called my granddaughter when she was first born (instead of Autumn Leigh)
