Rose Colored Glasses - WIP #1

Here's a new one on the board. I love the way glass refracts, reflects, and distorts. This painting will be primarily done with a large percentage of it being in greys and greyed down color. The pop of color will be in the pinks and a bit of green reflection from the deep green glass laying on its side.

So far I've decided to work on the reflections of color because I know it could make or break the painting. I spent a lot of time doing a detailed drawing, but I knew if I spend all my time on the glasswork without thought to the large expanse of table top, I could paint myself into a corner, so to speak. So I've decided to work on the reflections early on to get some of it established before doing the "fun" part. Delayed gratification!
