Grapes Durand 26"x22" transparent watercolor

Being anxious to begin the next painting, I photographed this still damp, and before I flatten it, but it is completed. I put another layer of pigment in the background and continued to use pale washes of grey and grey-lavender in the crystal to "melt" together some of the refractions. It is easy to over-do a painting like this... so I stopped before I was sure I was completely done. Time to "live with it" before I decide on framing.

Debbie this is FANTASTIC. I have the same glass bowl and it isn't an easy subject matter. This looks terrific.
