Donna Zagotta workshop

In February I had the pleasure of meeting Donna Zagotta as I took her workshop here in corpus Christi. Donna couldn't paint in watercolor more differently than me, but I signed up anyway... her sense of design is spot-on and I've admired he work and read her articles for many years. The jewel (among many) that I discovered was her blog at http://donnazagotta.com/blog/ and it will be one that I read weekly.
She is a fabulous writer and focuses on many subjects, researching and spending a lot of effort on her posts. They are full of design, contemporary painters, old masters, thoughts on this artistic process, goals, etc. In our workshop,

I spent more time on sketches and value patterns than I did painting. It was just what I needed. But Donna's understanding of the thought process that happens to us was even more of what I searched for. We had wonderful opportunities to spend one-on-one time together discussing where I'm going in my work and what it is within me that I want to speak through my creations.
