Lately I've been starting my mornings with small daily paintings like this one I did yesterday. I am finding that it helps loosen me up for the day, helps to get the creative juices flowing. Then, when the "tiny tidbit" is done, I move on to other larger, slower work. Right now I'm working on a couple of commissions and am almost done with a large peony painting... but work is slow.
