- Viewers of watercolorist Debbie Cannatella's work are drawn to the richness of color, shapes, shadows, or the capture of a slice of life. "I enjoy studying what surrounds me," she says "I find both man-made creations and the natural, organic world alluring, ever beckoning me closer to inspect it with a new viewpoint. Yet I also feel a pull toward experimental, non-objectal work. I may never understand where that desire comes from. My task is to merely follow." Debbie has studied with numerous national artists around the country and is a signature member of The Louisiana Watercolor Society, an exhibiting member of The Associated Women in the Arts, and a member of National Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of South Texas, The Rockport Art Center, and the Art Center of Corpus Christi. She exhibits in solo exhibitions and invitationals, group shows, and juried international exhibitions. She travels, teaching workshops to art groups and in community college locations. Congratulation Debbie on finishing this art so beautifully. It looks so fresh. We used to go sailing with my husband and only once had chance to have someone to take pictures of us from the sea. I bet your clients husband will be absolutely amazed by your art!

Thanks, Irina! My clients took me out sailing so I was able to get shots of our skyline from the open water... but they actually furnished me their reference photos and told me which one they wanted painted. I didn't have much flexibility in that. Still, I think it worked! Thanks for the kind words.
