- Viewers of watercolorist Debbie Cannatella's work are drawn to the richness of color, shapes, shadows, or the capture of a slice of life. "I enjoy studying what surrounds me," she says "I find both man-made creations and the natural, organic world alluring, ever beckoning me closer to inspect it with a new viewpoint. Yet I also feel a pull toward experimental, non-objectal work. I may never understand where that desire comes from. My task is to merely follow." Debbie has studied with numerous national artists around the country and is a signature member of The Louisiana Watercolor Society, an exhibiting member of The Associated Women in the Arts, and a member of National Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of South Texas, The Rockport Art Center, and the Art Center of Corpus Christi. She exhibits in solo exhibitions and invitationals, group shows, and juried international exhibitions. She travels, teaching workshops to art groups and in community college locations.
