I have been ridiculously busy since the Fall. We placed 28 piers under the house and releveled the foundation. With all of that jackhammering, cutting down beautiful hibiscus bushes and relandscaping, there has been little "peace" for painting. An irritated tendon led to "trigger thumb" and I rested the hand for a month. Needless to say, painting has been few and far between.
I recently took a 3-session class where we had a group of ballerinas pose for painting "in motion". This was the first piece I did after an evening of charcoal and pastel sketches.

Debbie I bet you loved it. I remember doing that in art school. It's very pretty. Good luck with the house. Take the time to rest.
Hi Debbie,
I'm so sorry to hear about your hand and your house! Wow! When it rains it pours!
I hope everything will get back to normal soon, I really miss your posts on Artcolony.
I'm just a groupie, but I was wondering about you.
I'll keep you in my prayers.
Phyl
Gee,how kind of you to check in with me, Phyl. Yes, when it rains, it pours! The foundation thingy threw me for a loop!
I really miss my involvement in Artcolony as well. I'm no longer a member of the group, unfortunately. If I had the opportunity, I'd go back in a heartbeat. There are so many lovely artists involved in that group.
But I remain really good friends with a number of them and we have a personal relationship outside of the blog. So that helps! Kind of lost my steam blogging, though. Maybe I will pick up steam after my daughter's wedding, which is next month. I'm the officient!
Thanks again, Phyl.
Hi Debbie,
Well, I 'll just have to follow your progress right here!
Take care and hopefully everything calms down soon. You're such a wonderful artist, and I really enjoy your work.
Phyl
